This is the full study of the variant readings of al-Qirā’āt al-‘Ashr from both perspectives (al-Shātibiyyah – Sughra and al-Tayyibah – Kubra).
This course is for those that have Ijazah in tajwīd or with explicit permission from the teacher.
There are three aspects to this course:
- Full detailed study of the uṣūl of the variant readings.
- Explanation of the jamaʻ reading methodologies, and detailed analysis of the taḥrīrāt
- Analysis of the history and narratives surrounding the variant readings.
Subjects include the evolution of qirā’āt, the original subjectivity, and later rigidities.
To Receive an Ijazah students must be registered in AS01 and Ijazah reading.
This course is a requirement for anyone graduating in the variant readings.
