This is an on-phone program in which a student chooses a specific time slot and calls the teacher four days a week (Monday through Thursday) at that time in order to recite to the teacher — either for memorization, or to recite the entire Qurʼān to obtain an ijāzah (please note that recitation is only one aspect out of several for obtaining an ijāzah). The time slots are ten minutes each and students are required to call promptly at their respective times. Additional information is provided upon registration.
Each individual teacher has their own schedule for recitation. It is up to the student to directly contact the teacher to recite to them. It is possible that one teacher may ask you to recite to another teacher.
Students must be able to recite the Qurʼān fluently to enroll in the Daily Reading & Memorization program.
All students are required to pay complete monthly fees regardless of the number of days called. The fee for reading is based on a pro-rated annual amount (meaning the annual fee is CDN $1,200 plus tax, and this is paid in monthly installments of CDN $100 + tax for Canadian students). Therefore, whether there are holidays, sessions are cancelled by the teacher, or if a student misses class for some personal reason, the complete monthly amount would need to be paid regardless of the number of sessions each month.
Students are required to attend their reading sessions regularly. Please remember that the teacher is holding their time to be available to listen to your recitation. Please be regular and punctual. Failure to comply with these rules will result in your reading spot being dropped.
US and Canadian statutory holidays will be off days inshāʼAllāh.
