This course is an online program in which the students who attend the TAJ courses will complete their Ijāzah in the Ḥafṣ reading.
An ijāzah is a traditional certification which means that there is a system and a specific structure that is followed and implemented.
In order to receive an Ijāzah, students must register in and complete the following courses: (These courses run simultaneously with Ijāzah reading).
The students will follow 3 phases during the Ijāzah reading:
Foundation Phase (Sep-Dec): Students will focus on the correct pronunciation of the letters, the vowel sounds and fluency.
Build Phase (Jan–Apr): Students will focus on learning and implementing the rules of Tajwīd.
Strength Phase (May–Jul): Students will focus on fluency and completing as much Qur’ānic reading as possible.
N.B. The reading is segregated by gender and attendance is mandatory.
The only prerequisite for enrolment in this program is that the student is able to recite the Qur’ān relatively fluently.
