In this course, students will learn Arabic Calligraphy, specifically the Naskh Script. This is a 12-week course.
- Week 1: Introduction/materials/course breakup, methodology, qalam/calligraphy pen practice strokes
- Week 2: Alif & Laam Kaaf
- Week 3: Baa and similar strokes
- Week 4: Haa
- Week 5: Daal Raa Wow
- Week 6: Seen, Saud, Ta
- Week 7: Ain
- Week 8: Faa, Qaf
- Week 9: meem
- Week 10: Haa
- Week 11: Yaa, Noon
- Week 12: Writing One Tasbeeh as a last project
The first class is on February 4th.
There are NO PREREQUISITES for this class.
